# OuterProduct CLI

> Install, update, and remove the op terminal command.

Use the OuterProduct CLI (`op`) to work with OuterProduct from your terminal. Run `op help` to see the commands available in your installed version.

## Install the CLI

On macOS or Linux, open a terminal in any directory and run:

```shellscript theme={null}
curl -fsSL https://release.outerproduct.com/install.sh | sh
```

This downloads the `op` command for your machine. Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and ARM64 and x86-64 Linux machines are supported. There is no native Windows installer.

The installer normally puts `op` in `~/.local/bin`, or your configured XDG bin directory, and configures your shell's search path. Follow its printed instructions or open a new terminal, then check:

```shellscript theme={null}
op version
op help
```

## Update

Replace `op` with the newest release, then check the version:

```shellscript theme={null}
op self-update
op version
```

> [!NOTE]
>
> Updating `op` does not update installed skills; use `op skill install --codex --user` or `op skill install --claude --user` for those.

## Uninstall

Remove the `op` binary from the path printed by the installer. For the default installation:

```shellscript theme={null}
rm "$HOME/.local/bin/op"
```
